What is Active Balancing?
Active balancing transfers energy from cells with higher energy to those with lower energy, achieving voltage balance with minimal energy loss. It operates continuously regardless of charging, discharging, or idle states. Since it involves energy transfer without heat generation, active balancing can use larger currents (commonly 1A–5A) without affecting cooling. It is more suitable for larger capacity battery packs.
